LIMF 2018 reveals Ray BLK, Jordan Rakei plus Vryll Society, Trudy, Zuzu and raft of Next Gen Liverpool artists

A second exciting wave of acts is announced for LIMF 2018, as GetintothisDavid Hall brings you all you need to know about the huge Sefton Park weekender.

Hot on the heels of its first wave of acts just a few weeks ago, Liverpool International Music Festival announces more artists added to the 2018 bill today.

These include James HypeTom Zanetti & K.O Kane on Saturday and Ray BLK and Jordan Rakei on Sunday, with plenty more to hit the Sefton Park stages this summer for LIMF 2018.

LIMF has also announced the emerging Merseyside artists set to play the itsLiverpool Next Gen Stage, with local psychedelics The Vryll Society heading up the likes of Trudy and the Romance, Zuzu, Haarm, Astles on Saturday while Jalen N’Gonda, Queen Zee, Sub Blue, Spinn, TV ME, Pale Rider and Neil Noa feature on Sunday.

There are many more Merseyside acts to follow, with 2018-2019 Academy artists to be added to the bill in the coming weeks.

They will join the previously announced line-up including grime hero Wiley, headliners Example & DJ WireDJ Jazzy Jeff, Trevor Nelson, Jax JonesStefflon Don all on Saturday.

Sunday will see Haçienda Classiçal headline and a Basement Jaxx DJ set with  AuroraYoung Fathers, Rae MorrisGilles Peterson also joining

Ray BLK meanwhile heads up the second wave announcement as the first ever unsigned artist to be named on BBC’s Sound of... list in 2017. She is set to take the stage on Sunday alongside rising Australian jazz star Jordan Rakei.

LIMF takes place across the weekend of July 21 and 22, at its usual home of Sefton Park. This year’s installment has sparked debate by being the first ever ticketed LIMF, with the open door BYOB policy of previous years replaced.

Ticket prices start at £5 per day for general admission and £15 for VIP, with festival goers not allowed to bring their own drinks. Under 11s go free.
