Amanda Palmer announces three stop tour including Liverpool Central Library

Amanda Palmer

Amanda Palmer announces three new UK tour dates for the Autumn season, Getintothis’ Jessica Borden has the lowdown

American singer-songwriter Amanda Palmer, formerly one-half of The Dresden Dolls, has seamlessly intertwined her work as a performance artist to that of a musician while keeping the personality and human connection found throughout her performance work.

Palmer’s music exudes an energy which could only be found in punk and cabaret, two styles that usually would not be seen together but have more in common than expected, from Amanda Palmer‘s command of the attitude and combination melodies traditional to each style. The combination appears brand new.

More gigs at Liverpool Central Library

The idea of personal human connection has always been important to Palmer, from her interaction with fans online to couch-surfing her way to gigs and giving TED talks about that very thing. This feels a perfect connection to the announcement of her three-date tour in the stripped-back intimacy of the Central Library, Liverpool. The setting feels perfectly fitted for Palmer’s music, the building filled with books and stories of past lives and truths.

Tour Dates

October 22: All Saints Church, Brighton
October 23: Central Library, Liverpool
October 26: Liquid Room, Edinburgh
