Liverpool’s newest venue, Jimmy’s, will host The Blinders on its opening weekend, Getintothis’ Megan Walder looks forward to the all day gig.
With the Mancunian bred band headlining, Jimmy’s are clearly set bringing a little bit of Manchester to Liverpool.
Starting at 2pm, this day event has a host of incredible up and coming acts – Saytr Play, Déjà Vega, Ryan Jarvis, Dantevilles, SCUTTLERS, Ambiere and Bones Shake – all of which have played their Manchester venue.
The Blinders released their debut album Columbia last year, and have played Liverpool dates at Phase One and Sound City since.
Those on The Blinders’ mailing list have access to tickets right now, the rest of us have to wait until this Friday.
With 8 acts playing just a few days after opening and Jimmy’s guaranteeing a gig every day of the week, their ambition and drive is impressive.
The venue have already announced a number of gigs for the rest of the year, as they aim to hit the ground running in Liverpool city centre.
Those announced so far are:
Rory Wynne August 9
Giant Rooks: October 11
Johnny Lloyd: October 24
Only The Poets:October 26
Tom Speight: November 22
