Spector announce November Liverpool date at Phase One

Spector bring their glorious kitchen-sink drama pop classics to Phase One this November. Getintothis’ Steven Doherty is looking forward to it already.

Surely one of the main contenders for the title of the most underrated indie-pop band of the century are London’s Spector, and they are back with some new material and a just announced full UK tour this Autumn, including a pair of local dates.

This week saw the release of their long-awaited new single I Won’t Wait  and this was shortly followed by details of the 23 October/November dates.

These include a trip to Manchester’s Club Academy on Halloween and Liverpool’s Jacaranda Records Phase One on Friday November 1.

It’s the band’s first Liverpool appearance since 2015, when they tore up the O2 Academy and this promises to be an absolute classic at Phase One, ahead of a third album.

Formed way back in 2011, their first two long-players Enjoy It While It Lasts and Moth Boys, even though they both reached the UK Top 30, are still widely regarded as lost classics.

With only a couple of EP’s released in the last few years, this tour hopefully will result in a much deserved wider audience and an end to their most fallow period.

Tickets go on sale Friday June 7, for more information visit spector.co.uk
