The Music Tourism Convention returns to Liverpool’s Cunard Building this September, Getintothis’ Amos Wynn has all the news.

Music fans will be able to attend the Music Tourism Convention on Friday, September 6th, returning for the fourth edition of the event, which has been previously held in Franklin, Tennessee and Cologne.

The purpose of the event is to demonstrate how music impacts, benefits and improves tourism. 30 guest speakers from different aspects of the industry will be present for people to hear from at the British Music Experience in the Cunard Building.

The speakers come from global tourism boards, music festivals & events, music content creators, tour organisers, tourism experts and the music industry, with the individuals themselves, set to be announced soon.

The last time the convention was held in Liverpool back in February 2017 saw Alan Davey (controller of BBC Radio 3 and BBC Proms), Aubrey Preston (founder and executive director of Americana MusicTriangle) and Becky Ayres (Liverpool Sound City’s CEO), amongst others.

Black Lips announce November Arts Club date

This year is set to offer more of the same, with different panels and speakers from various different countries.

Ahead of the full schedule on the 6th, the day before will also see the hosting of an evening reception.
