Getintothis top five #9: most read music, gigs, features and stories of the week

The Getintothis top five stories of the week

At the end of another busy week, Getintothis’ Max Richardson rounds up the latest happenings here on the site.

Afternoon all – here’s hoping all is well.

It’s been yet another busy week here on Getintothis, with some cracking new music released alongside some absolutely top quality gigs.

This writer had the pleasure of catching KRS-One over at 24 Kitchen Street on Tuesday, which was an absolute treat. Amazing sound, biting lyrics and a vibrant atmosphere – what’s not to like.

The past few nights have been spent accompanied by the stunning new Skepta album, which is a great listen. We’ve been absolutely spoiled for choice with some quality new music the past week, with YONAKA’s debut album also being a top-notch release.

Of course, Instagram feeds of those around the Liverpool area have been absolutely filled with images from the Gaia installation over at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, and with good reason – it’s absolutely gorgeous.

It’s simply stunning to see a 23-foot replica of the planet, and I’d strongly recommend anyone who lives around the Liverpool area and hasn’t already caught it to definitely go and see it – it’s up until June 23.

If anyone’s seen it – we’d welcome your thoughts, if you have any opinions of Gaia feel free to let us know in the comments below.

As ever, we’re always on the lookout for new writers and photographers, if you want to contribute, feel free to drop us a message and we’ll will get back to you.

Anyway, without further ado – here’s the top five stories and gigs of the week over on Getintothis.
