Run The Jewels to hit Manchester on UK tour in support of new album

Run The Jewels

Run The Jewels

As the hip hop heavyweights gear up to hit the UK in Spring, Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald prepares for their return.

American rap titans Run The Jewels are set to hit our shores for a short run of shows this March, with a date at Manchester’s Albert Hall on March 31 being one of only three UK dates.

Fans of the Killer Mike and EI-P have been showered with gifts recently, following the supergroup releasing their latest cut Run The Jewels 3 three weeks earlier then anticipated and just in time for Christmas. Now with the announcement of these tour dates, this is surely the icing on the cake.

Soothing of the psyche – music as therapy for illness and loss

On their newest release, the duo are at their most lethal, with verbal assaults now mastered following a decade in the game. From the rousing Thieves! Screamed The Ghost, to the all out banging Hey Kids (Bumaye), the pair at clearly at the top of their powers.

With these dates set to be followed hopefully by a number of festival announcements, there is no better opportunity to catch them at their most deadly.

Run The Jewels play Manchester Albert Hall, March 31 with full UK tour dates as follows:

March 29: Limelight, Belfast
March 31: Albert Hall, Manchester
April 1: Roundhouse, London
