Fresh from a packed out Glastonbury performance, Liverpool’s own Clean Cut Kid announce a homecoming Arts Club show, as GetintothisDavid Hall finds out.

A band enjoying their year, having made appearances on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge and at SXSW, Clean Cut Kid now turn their attention back to touring, having just dropped their new single scuzzy breakup hit We Used to Be In Love.

Now announcing a headline tour comprising ten dates up and down the UK in the autumn, the GIT Award-nominated four-piece look to follow a festival-packed summer including Glastonbury, Latitude and Reading and Leeds with an exciting conclusion to 2016.

Merseyside gig-goers will have barely missed Clean Cut Kid, with their last local headline show in March with support from Lying Bastards, and an inclusion on the Mersey River Festival billing alongside Louis Berry, Tea Street Band and Natalie McCool. Familiarity seems to breed ever more enthusiasm however, and the Arts Club crowd are sure to welcome the quartet back with open arms before they conclude their autumn tour in Oxford the following evening.

This tour may prove the last time fans can catch Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson in such intimate settings, as they gear up to their full-length debut and look to make the leap to larger venues. With an exciting development underway, 2017 could be Clean Cut Kid‘s biggest year yet.
